Athena Giron

Athena is a Ventura County native who received her bachelor’s degree in health and human sciences from Loyola Marymount University. She unexpectedly discovered her passion for physical therapy while rehabilitating multiple knee injuries resulting from high school sports. She was inspired by the kind and light-hearted nature of her physical therapists, as well as her desire to combine her personal interests of fitness and human connection to pursue this career. After graduating from LMU, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from West Coast University in Los Angeles in 2025. Athena has previous experience within the outpatient orthopedic population but has recently gained an interest in pelvic floor physical therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, traveling the world, finding new recipes to bake, and trying new local cafes and restaurants. Athena has been working within the physical therapy community since 2019 and is excited to begin her career as a licensed PT at COASTPTS!
